The Real Reason I Went Quiet

I haven't posted much here in a while, and I want to tell you the real reason, not the polished version.

My son got sick. That came first, and it came before anything else could matter. While I was carrying that, I went back to full-time immigration court work. I gave it everything I had left, and I completely burnt out.

A few weeks ago, I left that job. I have opened my own law practice. It's called Williams Legal Strategy, and it exists because I needed to build something that could hold both my clients and my life, not just one or the other.

LW Innovations is part of that same decision. I started it to help people build work that travels with them instead of work that consumes them, and I stepped away from it for a while because I needed to live that lesson before I could keep teaching it.

In the middle of all of it, I also finished the book I had been working on since before I left France and came here. It's called Virtual Impact, and it comes out September 1st.

I wrote in the Author's Note that I began this book while I was still trying to understand how to build work that could travel with me, and that I was revising it from a different place. That transition doesn't sit outside the book. It is the book becoming real in my own life.

I'm closing this version of the book while I open Williams Legal Strategy and grow the vision behind LW Innovations. I'm officially taking the chance on myself. This time, whatever I build has to leave room for my health, my family, my creativity, and my peace.

So if you haven't heard from me in a while, this is where I was. Rebuilding, not disappearing. And I'm glad to be back.
